Air Force or Army?

Last weekend Sandy, Andy and myself traveled to Colorado Springs to visit the Air Force Academy (AFA) as Andy got an official visit from Air Force football to visit the school as a football recruit. We had a blast and were awed by the AFA. Our country spares no expense to train officers to lead our nation. We were in awe and humbled to be there not to mention the invite to play football. The Chapel @ the AFA has been under fire for it's "religious proselitization" the past 2 years but still is a draw for those searching for the Lord no matter who complains.

This weekend we will be in West Point, NY as Andy takes his final visit to decide where he will go to school and play football. Many schools in our local area had recruited Andy but one by one the Lord started to close the doors for one reason or another. Now the only two left are the academies. Talk about the Lord moving a young man toward his destiny. Our whole family is rejoicing as this story unfolds. One of our prayers for him is to have a great local church in the area where he goes to college. We got attend New Life Church in CS and happy to report the church is recovering from the problems with their leader. The spirit of the Lord was strong in the congregation as 15K believers worshipped with such a spirit of humility and repentance. We were excited to see how the Lord takes care of his church. The power of prayer is prevailing over the sin and deception. When I went into the prayer center the power of the Holy Spirit over shadowed me as I started to weep. Man it was sweet...
I took communion @ the table of the Lord and was assured of God's mercy to us.
YOu knew I would get off football and family when it comes to JESUS, hello!
When we put kingdom of God 1st in our lives, all the other things line up.
Ask your prayers for Andy in his decision and for our family as we fulfill our destiny and complete HIS purpose. All things work together for good...

He Man Duck Hunters Club
We laughed as I came up with the new name for our hunting trip last week... we spun off the Little Rascals name for their club to keep all the girls out of their club house. Pastor Scott, Pastor Starr, Darryl Hall and his son Dewayne, Chris Lallier and myself converged on the rice fields of South West La and blasted a few geese and mallards from the sky. We each felt so refreshed from the fellowship of the brethren as we got to spend some quality time in the fresh cold air. You could sense the Lord dropping fresh courage and vigor into our lives as we listened to the raw call of the thousands of geese flying and super sonic speed of the ducks cruising by us. We watched in awe as our guides yellow lab worked his trade retrieving the fallen birds for our pots... I think you are getting the picture of just how much God loves us and wants to bless us with simple joys of simple living.
So next year if you feel trapped inside your circle of life, give us a call and get out and enjoy some fellowship and fresh cold air in our HMDHC!

2007...

Well it has been awhile and please forgive me... U got to u know that hu! We got busy reconditioning the house we are living in and I got out of the computer swing. Maybe I needed a break from cyber land as I actually enjoyed the physical labor. After completing this project we slid into November/December with holidays, football and family. This was a good time but now it is 2007 and running hard already.
I left for Sri Lanka and India on January 1st headed to Kerela in south India to minister @ Faith Theological Seminary. Of course I was sick the whole time as the devil does not like anyone ministering in the 1040 window. Spiritual resistance is a good sign that you are in God's flow to bring his life to people... yep u can quote me on that one. I spoke to a pastor in the airport waiting on a flight and he said you must be called to go during the peak of whitetail hunting season in Louisiana. I sat back and thought about how the Lord has changed my life and priorities. I am so thankful for God's hand of mercy and grace on this lump of clay...
Ok we are in a season of prayer & fasting now and excited about the future. God has a special plan and destiny for all our lives. My pastor Scott Hornsby is doing a super series called Breakthrough 2007 as I watched it on the TV last night. I really sense God moving among his people to set us up for this end time harvest of souls. In India the men of God were prophecying of the greatest Harvest of souls in mass the world has ever experienced over the next 7 years. Joel prophesied this and I am claiming his spirit to be poured out on my life and to see my sons and daughters receive the double portion in their lives and to be right slap dab in the middle of this move... yes sir it the time is upon us.
Ok I am preaching... it is 3:30am and I am still not over the jet lag... hello! DB... Luke

Shasta Dam, Shasta Lake and Shasta Mountain

I am in Northern California with Nick and Linda Rogers today. Nick & Linda were with us most of fall 05'coordinating hurricane Katrina relief for Forward Edge International out of Portland, OR. Nick is a retired colonel with the US Army and played football @ Oregon State in the late 60's. These northern California folks are just awesome as too my great surprise the people outside of LA and San Fran are extremely conservative. Loads of great churches and people with a heart after God live up here in the north not to mention it is opening of deer season and they are as rabid about huntin as we are from south Louisiana! We are making some great contacts here and just being with Nick and Linda and their family has been wonderful.

My Main Man, Justin Rogers!

Fall means FOOTBALL!

Well the last trip we took was planned to give us the fall to take a "break", hang with the family and enjoy Andy playing his senior year of football @ Zachary High School. Well I volunteered to show our house which meant a total refurbishmnet of the old house, painting 2 old houses and carpentar work, visiting potentail colleges like La Tech in the pic and ministering weekends has just bout got me tired. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew but the Lord gives us grace to get the job done just in time to keep your wife off your back, hello!
